| I notice that the performance of the LS1 and LS6 cars vary quite a bit, even when compared to another copy of the identical car. Their dyno's also seem to vary a lot for a mass produced car. Also, that list has both 2001 and 2002 Z06's on it. The 2001 Z06 is a bit slower with only 385 hp, while the 2002 has 405 hp. We shouldn't include the lower powered older model Z06's in our average of 2002 Z06 trap speeds. Another major thing to consider is the elevation. Many of those cars are in areas where the elevation is thousands of feet. I'm in NJ near the sea, and the altitude of Atco raceway is only 33 feet. It's a fast track. The one 2002 car I see on that list that's from Atco ran a 12.01 @ 116. The list isn't long enough to find a bunch of stock 2002 cars from sea level to compare for an completely accurate conclusion, but I can point out a few: Peter Unanue fron Etown NJ ran 115 mph, Z-Ya Later ran 117.05, Vipereater ran 116 mph, 02 Z06 Racer ran 117.6 mph, and Ranger from Maryland ran 120 mph (he had an intake though). There will always be cars that just don't perform well from the factory, but if you look at that list the majority of the slow ones are either 2001 models or are just at a high elevation.
